HOW POINTS WORK
Once an athlete has nominated a rodeo/event (prior to the start of the rodeo or prior to the first time the athlete competes) HERE, points will be awarded if/when the athlete places at the rodeo/event and earns money or association points. Points are weighted differently for each division and are scaled for go rounds and final rounds/ aggregates. For rodeo/jackpot events, points are awarded in each go-round up to the top ten money winners. If an athlete does not place at the event, then consolation or nomination points will be awarded. Athlete must have a qualified time or score in order to be eligible for competition points.
Any athlete 13 years and older are eligible to participate and nominate in The Virtual Rodeo Qualifier (VRQ) platform.
Points are weighted differently for each division and are scaled for go rounds and final rounds/ aggregates. Points are distributed based on the scales below. If an athlete does not place at the event, then consolation or nomination points will be awarded.
For full points, please see competition points in the dropdown below.
Athletes must be nominated before the advertised start time of the event or prior to the athletes first round of competition. Rodeos with multi-day progressive round formats can be nominated at any round of competition but will only receive points from when the nomination is received. Points from previous rounds will not be applied.
The event must have a payout to be eligible for VRQ points. The results must be posted publicly or official results provided to our results team. All results sent in must be complete with full names, Placement, times/scores, and payout for all paid rounds of competition. Email results to results@wcrarodeo.com.
