Athletes can earn a generic qualification to the 2024 WRWC by participating in Qualifier Series events. The Qualifier Series is a string of events held before the 2024 WRWC where athletes who nominate and place in the top spot in their respected discipline at the qualifier will earn a generic qualification to the 2024 WRWC. Positions earned automatically place the athlete in the Qualifying Round of the WRWC regardless of leaderboard position.
The tour will have eight dedicated stops to team roping, breakaway roping, and barrel racing. Each event will include a challenger and pro classification. Qualifiers will begin in mid-May 2023 and conclude with its final qualifier in Amarillo, Texas, at the Amarillo All Girl on March 16, 2024.
AM I ELIGIBLE?
The athlete must participate in an WRWC Qualifier Series Event to be eligible to earn a generic qualification to the WRWC event. Participation in the WRWC Qualifier Series is verified once the athlete voluntarily nominates Segment W24 for the QS event.
WHO EARNS THE QUALIFICATION?
The generic qualification will be given in the average round of the event to the highest placing athlete in the Pro and Challenger competition. If the event does not have an average, then the qualification will be given based on the round that determines the overall event winner.
WHAT IS FAST CASH?
The WRWC Qualifier Series will also feature a VRQ Fast Cash payout at the event.
Qualifier Series Fast Cash will be double the nomination fee paid to the highest placing Pro and Challenger.
For example: if the highest placing Pro paid a $200 nomination fee, they will receive a $400 Fast Cash check.
Each Qualifier Series event will also feature VRQ Expanded Points in any paid round of competition. Expanded Points provide opportunities for more athletes to earn valuable W24 leaderboard points.
