WOMEN’S RODEO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER

The Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will be held on May 17, beginning at Noon at the Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth. THe event will feature a Pro and Challenger Open Barrel Race, Pro and Challenger Breakaway Roping, and Pro and Challenger Team Roping, and it will end with the Pro and Challenger Barrel Race Buy Back Round. Entry fees will be $150 for the Barrel Racing and $250 for the roping events. The one-day tournament is anticipated to award $40,000.

– Team Roping and Breakaway Roping: $250/entry/enter 1x
– 70% payback
– Barrel Racing: $150/entry/enter 1x
– Barrel Racing Buy Back Entry: $150/entry/enter 1x

Details

– Athletes are eligible to enter the LCQ once per discipline (athletes qualified to the WRWC are ineligible to enter the WRWC in that discipline. They are welcome to enter in disciplines they have not qualified in)

– The number of qualifications will vary based on the entry scale HERE. Advancement based on 2 head average times in Team Roping and Breakaway Roping. Advancement based on fastest times in barrel racing.

– Up to eight total qualifications will be awarded in the Team Roping and Breakaway Roping

– Up to six total qualifications will be awarded in the Barrel Racing
-Two barrel racing qualifications will be awarded in the Buy Back round

The LCQ Pros and Challengers that advance to WRWC will qualify to compete in Round 1 and 2 of the 2023 Women’s Rodeo World Championship.

LCQ Entry Guidelines:

– Any athlete that has earned points on the W23 leaderboard as of April 16, 2023 is eligible to enter the Last Chance Qualifier on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

-Pre-entries will be taken through Entrytool.comApril 28 – May 5 until Noon.
-Late entries will be taken through Entrytool.com May 8- Mat 12

-Buy Back Round entries will open after the LCQ round ends and they will remain open until 30 minutes after the roping before the buyback round begins.

-Turnouts will receive a full refund up to 72 hours prior to the event. After 72 hours, refunds will not be given.

Team Roping Guidelines:

– Athletes are required to enter with the partner they will rope within the WRWC competition. There will not be a repairing option once they advance to WRWC.
